About the role

Company Description

At Bosch, we shape the future with technologies that enrich people’s lives. Join Robert Bosch Robotics GmbH as the hands-on architect of Robotics AI within our initial Industrial Robot Skills team. Define how predictive models, reasoning, executable skills and control work together, then implement and test the critical ideas on real robots. Welcome to Bosch.

The Robert Bosch GmbH is looking forward to your application!

Job Description

As part of our team, you will own the assurance architecture and verification strategy, defining explicit claims, assumptions and evidence. You resolve safety/security interactions while determining which claims the implementation and test evidence can actually support.

You will lead technical reviews of hazard and threat analyses, verification plans and field-validation results. You maintain traceability from requirements through implementation and testing to the technical file.

Additionally, you will implement critical verification artifacts and guide hardware-in-the-loop as well as physical validation with specialists. You review test adequacy while assessing force/pressure evidence where human-robot interaction requires it.

You will take ownership of the formal-methods strategy for the Safety-Security Agent-Harness Tool Development Plan. You establish proof obligations, trusted components and independent checks required when the harness is used in its own development.

Furthermore, you will reproduce and challenge proof/checker results, investigate counterexamples as well as uncovered failure modes and close corrective actions. You defend technical evidence in reviews and audits without overstating its coverage.

In our Agentic AI Software Factory, you will use coding agents for implementation, test generation, review preparation and documentation. You validate their output through reproducible checks plus human review, preserve traceability and apply controlled access to code and data.

Qualifications

Education: completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering or a related field

Experience and Knowledge: proven technical ownership of assurance and verification for safety- or security-relevant software or robotic systems, including evidence scrutinized through independent review or assessment

deep expertise in safety or security engineering, with demonstrated ability to connect both disciplines

hands-on experience in formal verification or model checking, including specifications, assumptions, counterexamples, proof limits and own implementation or analysis

demonstrated requirements-to-evidence traceability, hazard/threat analysis and verification-tool assurance

experience applying relevant industrial safety frameworks to concrete designs, including clear understanding of their limitations

proven ability to implement or critically inspect verification artifacts, defend assurance arguments and resolve findings

expertise with requirements traceability, hardware-in-the-loop rigs, ESBMC/Lean, LLM-plus-checker evaluation and versioned evidence repositories

standards awareness, review coordination or tool familiarity alone is insufficient

Personality and Working Practice: you are a rigorous technical leader who makes assumptions explicit, values specialist expertise and communicates residual risks without overstating the evidence

Enthusiasm: for combining formal reasoning, physical validation and disciplined engineering to support trustworthy robotics

Languages: very good spoken and written German and English
