About the role

Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Staff Financial Analyst to join our Finance team as a key contributor to our Programs and Topline Finance function. This role will own program finance workflows across revenue-generating contracts and production programs, and support the revenue forecast that informs company-wide planning.

You will play a critical role in connecting program execution with financial outcomes. You will own EACs, margin, and revenue forecasting, partner closely with Program Management, Production, Operations, and Accounting, and help mature and scale the systems and processes already in place as Saronic moves into production.

This role is ideal for someone with deep program finance experience who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, building on the foundation already in place, and bringing financial clarity to a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

Own financial workflows for an assigned portfolio of revenue-generating contracts (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ, OTA), including EACs/ETCs, contract P&Ls, and monthly program reviews

Develop the methodology for production program EACs, including per-unit EACs built from labor, material, and work-order data, and partner with Production and Engineering to improve input quality

Develop and maintain the revenue forecast methodology and models that combine pipeline, backlog, and active programs, supporting monthly forecasts, the annual operating plan, and long-range planning

Prepare over-time (% complete) revenue forecasts and provide Accounting with the EAC updates and program inputs that support revenue recognition

Partner closely with Accounting through month-end close, reconciling program actuals to forecast and resolving variances in cost incurred, WIP, accruals, and revenue

Work with Accounting on the financial impact of contract modifications and scope changes, and on charge code and cost allocation structures so program financials tie to the general ledger

Partner with Program Managers to challenge cost and schedule assumptions and identify key margin drivers

Work alongside the Senior FP&A Analyst – Programs as a peer partner, coordinating portfolio coverage and collaborating on shared workflows, models, and reporting

Identify portfolio-level risks and opportunities early and drive cross-functional action to address them

Deliver program portfolio reporting and insights to Finance and Program leadership, including forecast changes, margin trends, and key risks

Translate program staffing plans into labor cost and headcount forecasts with Operations and Program teams

Identify gaps in processes, data, and systems, and drive improvements in reporting, models, automation, and controls

Help build and shape program finance tooling, partnering with data and systems teams to define requirements, test new functionality, and drive adoption across Finance and Program teams

Drive the roadmap for program finance processes and systems to support multi-year growth

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in program finance, contract finance, FP&A, or related roles, ideally within defense, aerospace, shipbuilding, or hardware

Hands-on experience owning EACs/ETCs and gross margin across multiple programs and contract types

Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 over-time (% complete/cost-to-cost) revenue recognition

Experience building revenue forecasts that combine pipeline and backlog

Track record of improving and scaling finance processes, models, or reporting in a growing organization

Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders with data

Comfort operating in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities and incomplete data

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

Production or unit-based program finance experience (shipbuilding, vehicles, manufacturing), including work-order-based labor costing

Experience with government contracts and FAR/DFARS cost principles

Experience with NetSuite, Palantir Foundry, or similar platforms, including driving adoption of forecasting or EAC tools

Experience supporting AOP, board, or long-range planning

Exposure to EVMS or earned value concepts

MBA, CPA, or CFA

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Occasional standing and walking within the office

Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment

Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports

Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies

Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 20 pounds (e.g., office supplies, packages)
