onsite$125K to $175KPosted 12 Oct 2026
About the role
Location: San Francisco
Work Model: Onsite, in-person
Industry: AI / audio data infrastructure
Compensation: $125K-$175K base, plus equity
About the Company
Our partner is a venture-backed AI data company whose product is the data itself: high-quality audio and human data used by leading AI research teams, from the largest model builders to a new generation of research labs. The business has grown more than 3x since its Series B, and the team has grown from roughly 25 to 75 people in about five months. Customers want to do more with the company every quarter, and the go-to-market team is growing to keep up.
The Opportunity
Our partner is adding three Deployment Strategists to a team of three. This is a customer-facing seat, roughly 80% of the time spent with customers: working directly with AI labs and the researchers inside them, expanding existing relationships and building new leads, with goals tied to quarterly booking targets.
The role blends strategy, sales, and customer relationships. You will work closely with the deployment operations leads and general managers who deliver the work, and you will join the team as the company hires its first Head of Deployment Strategy, so the way the function operates is still being shaped. It is a strong next step for a consultant who wants to move closer to customers and revenue at a fast-growing AI company.
Responsibilities
Own day-to-day relationships with research teams at AI labs, typically one to four customer conversations a day
Grow existing accounts by identifying new data needs and expanding work across customer research teams
Build and qualify new leads within current and prospective lab customers
Work toward quarterly booking targets and keep a clear view of pipeline and account health
Partner with deployment operations leads and general managers to scope, launch, and deliver customer projects
Bring customer feedback back to internal teams to shape future datasets and offerings
Requirements
3+ years of professional experience, with the strongest fit in the three-to-seven-year range
Background in consulting or a similar analytical, client-facing environment
Demonstrated customer-facing experience and comfort building relationships with technical, senior stakeholders
Motivation to work toward booking targets and to own commercial outcomes
Clear, polished written and verbal communication
Ability to work onsite in San Francisco
